I just need to go out someplace and have a coffee with my friend… is it some big deal?? I don’t feel it is… why is it that most of the places in amman (I mean cafes not restaurants) require a min. or cover charge of minimum 10 JDs… tb what if I don’t want to eat??? Do they have to force me to??
And by the way… 10 JDs do have a value for me, in case they don’t for others...

Going out here would have one and only ONE meaning.. EATING! you can't have a drink... you can't have ice cream only... there's nothing to do but to eat.. esp when there's a min/cover charge!!!
That's awful.. everyone in Amman was blackmailed in the New year's eve.. I hate that :\
fine! AED 10 is like UAD 50 ... woow thats freaking cheap... if you come to DUBAI... they know the term COVER CHARGE only with AED 2000 next to it,,, like JD 400.... AED 200 is whats called ENTRANCE FEES,,, y3ni JD 40 ... and in some places the ENTRANCE FEES including a big smile by a philippino short chick...
and speaking about new year eve,,, looooooool the lowset entrance fee price for any decent place here was AED 1000.. do the math dear!!
Well Hamzeh... im talking about places in AMMAN not DUBAI... there's a bit difference between both countries... regarding salary scale, living standards... etc...
So when i say 10 Jordanian Dinars in JORDAN, they do have a value... regardless of whether they are considered as expensive or cheap in other countries....

sus, i know what you're talking about! its very crazy me and my friends have the same problem! but i know a place.. Carper and Gambini's me and a friend of mine always go there! its very nice and very comfortable and afordable at the same time!! we go and have cogge and we pay 2.5 each :) its very good by the way! for me its the best!! hehe by the way its in Abdoun Beside crumz actually warra crumz! :) enjoy and then tell me ahat do you think of the place if you go!
i know what you're talking about!! try Casper and Gambini's its at abdoun behind crumz i know the name sounds Fancy but its a very nice, comfortable and i concider it afordable too.
me and a friend of mine go for coffe and we end up paying 2.5 each... and their coffee is sooo goood and they have wonder ful flavours too! they have after 8 mint coffee :D hehe if i start talking about coffee i'll never finish! tell me what you think if u go!

Hind... Thanks for passing by and thanks for the advice :) Well i actually know casper & gambinis and i really like it... but i just get bored of going always to the same place... im sure there are lots of places that dont require a 10 jds cover charge... but the idea that some do annoys me!!
